About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Smith–known by friends, family, coworkers, and mostly everyone as Lizzy–is a producer, writer, and digital content creator from Texas. She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where she received a Bachelor of Journalism and Bachelor of Science in Radio, Television, and Film.
Elizabeth’s professional experience includes over seven years of work in both traditional and digital media production for television, social media, film, and advertising. Previously, she has had the pleasure of working with MSNBC, CBS News, KXAN-TV, KABB/WOAI, The Arlook Group, TSTV, The University of Texas at Austin, and The Designory.
In 2019, Elizabeth interviewed The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon when he came to visit UT Austin for his first and only live show from a college campus. She created an original segment called the “Texpert Test”, which tested Jimmy’s Texas knowledge, specifically for his visit. While not at Professor Matthew McConaughey’s level of expertise, Jimmy passed the test with flying colors and is officially an honorary Texan—an occasion marked by Elizabeth presenting him with a novelty Texas-shaped pin which he wore on-air.
In 2020, Elizabeth started a TikTok account which features creative, narrative, and book related videos. She frequently partners with established and indie publishing houses, as well as other brands, to create paid promotional campaigns and book reviews, in addition to her own original content. She is best known for her enemies to lovers videos, short story excerpts, book and narrative trailers—and of course her daggers.
Beyond her digital and video skills, Elizabeth is a skilled writer and editor, having worked as a freelance copy editor for six years, and a writing coach at the Moody Writing Support Program for nearly four years.
Elizabeth loves all things producing and storytelling, and is excited to continue her work as a creative producer and digital content creator as she brings fresh, entertaining, and diverse content to life. When she’s not working on her latest project, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading books, watching sitcoms, and eating literally anything made of sugar.
